Best Fiction Books

When I choose to read books it’s more often a non-fiction because I’m focused on gaining more understanding about one topic or another. But I still enjoy the occasional fictional (fantasy/sci-fi) book to relax and lose myself in.

I gravitate towards fictional books that have something to teach me, something more than a story for entertainments sake. I find that some books more than others contain valuable lessons, information and insights that require a certain lenses to uncover. So as of late, I only read such books when delving to worlds of the imagination.

The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien

The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho

Some authors, not all, are teachers and philosophers that are teaching you about life, yourself and the challenges you are bound to face.

One For The Morning Glory – John Barnes

War God: Return of the Plumed Serpent – Graham Hancock

Age of Fire Series

by E.E Knight

The series is about three sibling dragons that are separated tragically, shortly after their hatching. It follows them on their search for understanding, revenge and belonging in a hostile world. Even though their world contains the common races of Humans, Dwarfs, Elves, it is a unique world none the less with its own lore.

The series contains enough seminaries between our own world, other dragon based fantasies with its own unique twists for someone like me to read the entire series in three months. The author has written in a way that you’ll learn many great lessons about our own race while learning about the dragons and their pitfalls.

Atlantean Secrets Series

by Samuel Sagan

Atlantean Secrets covers the fictional (or historical?) world of Atlantis. This book is more than a story and you’ll have to read it to experience it. It follows the journey of Szar a sleeper and his breathtaking journey into awakening and deeper understanding of the hidden realms and dimensions that affected the world of Atlantis and potentially our own.

Honestly, these books are an experience; words cannot explain the things that will happen to you while reading this. You’ll come out of it as a different person and have deeper understanding into the world that may actually be real. For me, it was such a well-timed read, and I cannot wait to get my hands onto the fourth novel. In saying this, it is written in a very different and otherworldly way and will sometimes leave you scratching your head. Even so, it is such a worthy read!
